November's General Membership Meeting

When: November 23/17 Time: Noon - 1PM Location: The Rock's Edge Meeting Room

Doug Podetz with the Industry Training Authority will be speaking on "What practices can be incorporated into the community to promote working in BC Trades". Doug is focusing on field work on Vancouver Island as an Apprenticeship Advisor. His work within the ITA has allowed him to work closely with industry, post-secondary institutional instructors, apprentices, employers and other provinces to ensure that:

1. Apprenticeship programs are achieving the high standards required for BC’s certifications and Interprovincial Red Seal trades. 2. More employers are engaging in apprenticeship training. 3. More apprentices are achieving their trade certification.
