Equity, Diversity and Inclusion: Making our businesses and workplaces better

Port McNeill, B.C. April 26, 2022 - This is a big topic for the Port McNeill Chamber as we focus on what healthy, prosperous communities look like in this time of cultural, environmental and social change. Making our workplaces healthier, more diverse, inclusive, and equitable is a goal of utmost important and the Port McNeill Chamber, we've gathered some resources to support our own strategic plan and ongoing dialogue with businesses.


Diversity and inclusion is about capturing the uniqueness of the individual; creating an environment that values and respects individuals for their talents, skills and abilities to the benefit of the collective. The Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion has a lot of value resources to help guide the beginning and advancement of this conversation:

The Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) leads the development and dissemination of innovative programs and tools to support the mental health and wellness of Canadians. Through its unique mandate from the Government of Canada, the MHCC supports federal, provincial, and territorial governments as well as organizations in the implementation of sound public policy.
